Abstract

It is important that an organization implements a process improvement strategy to have a well-defined software process. For this reason, a fuzzy-logic based group decision-making approach in quality function deployment (QFD) is proposed in this study to devise the software process improvement strategy for software companies. We extend the QFD methodology by introducing a new group decision-making approach that takes multiple preferences formats into account and by fusing different expressions into one uniform group decision by means of fuzzy set theory. Finally, an illustrative example is given to demonstrate the potential of the proposed approach for effective software process management.
