Abstract

This paper presents a combined fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy goal programming (GP) to determine the preferred compromise solution for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) training package selection in terms of value creation by multiple objectives. The problem is formulated to include six primary goals: maximize financial benefits, maximize effective software utilisation, maximize employee satisfaction, minimize cost, minimize training duration and minimize risk of operation. Fuzzy AHP is used to specify judgments about the relative importance of each goal. A case study performed for a small manufacturing company running ERP software training is included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.
