Abstract

Several philosophical issues discussed in detail in this study indicate that the architect inside Maimonides' mind was neither Plato, nor Aristotle, nor Plotinus, but al-Farabi, who was regarded as the Second Teacher. Indeed, Maimonides himself pronounces this at many instances, feeling compelled to speak of al-Farabi in great esteem and praise.
