The goal of the current study was to explore the effect of an online question-answer (Q/A) system to support students’ questioning- answering in a Computer Networks class. In order to encourage students to ask questions and share their answers, Google Docs spreadsheet and forms were used. Students accessed the system using tablet PCs distributed to them or by using their own mobile devices (smartphones). Assuming that hiding identities might create positive attitude toward participation, students were assigned with anonymous nicknames. 2 separate projectors were arranged; I for presenting content and II for students’ posts. As the data collection instrument semi-structured interviews as focus groups were conducted. The transcribed interviews were analyzed by content analyses. According to the analysis, problems regarding technology and implementation were specified and points that need to be taken into consideration for future design and implementation were presented.
