Özet

This study presents a systematic literature review of lean logistics to examine sectoral applications of lean tools, clarify the distinctions between lean and traditional logistics, and identify the analytical and optimization approaches supporting lean logistics processes. A structured synthesis of peer-reviewed studies organizes fragmented knowledge into a comprehensive framework covering application domains, sectoral differences, and tool integration. The findings indicate that lean logistics extends beyond manufacturing into logistics services, supply chains, digital information technologies, construction, and sustainability-related contexts, where lean practices are increasingly supported by digital and data-driven approaches. The review also provides conceptual clarification by distinguishing lean logistics from traditional logistics in terms of process orientation, performance priorities, and integration logic. Bibliometric and network analyses reveal strongly interconnected thematic clusters centered on waste reduction, efficiency, and cost control, alongside growing associations with digitalization and system-level applications. By combining sectoral comparison, conceptual clarification, optimization-oriented synthesis, and science mapping, the study offers both theoretical structure and practical insight into lean logistics implementation. Overall, the study contributes a structured understanding of lean logistics and its evolving integration with technological and cross-sectoral logistics systems.
