Abstract

The experience of physicians is the key factor in the success of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis treatment. Even if the disease is the same, the experience degrees of physicians are not equal everywhere around the world. Especially for the treatment planning, a decision support system is needed in order to cope with this infectious disease. The decisions must be taken rapidly in order to gain time and advantage. At this point, the purpose of this study is to build a framework and establish a mathematical model that will help decision makers (physicians) while estimating the risk of multi-drug resistance when a new tuberculosis patient arrives, using intuitionistic fuzzy cognitive maps.
