Abstract

In this paper, reliability in inter-vehicle communication is assured by clustering formation in a special way. Vehicular nodes in the cluster are identified and assigned by specific tasks. Based on this cluster formation, Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) scheme is considered to assign orthogonal codes to a priori identified vehicular nodes. Protocol overview, protocol details and media access protocol requirements are given. The proof-of-concept of technology availability of hierarchical autonomously formed cluster inter-vehicle communication setup is presented.
