Abstract

In multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) processes, uncertainty and incomplete information are key factors that make decision making difficult. The grey fuzzy approach combines the advantages of grey system theory and fuzzy logic, allowing decision makers to make more reliable and flexible evaluations based on uncertain or partially certain data. Especially in complex systems, when alternatives need to be evaluated with both numerical and verbal data, grey fuzzy methods offer an effective solution. This study provides a literature survey on Grey MCDM, examining its methodological foundations, advantages over traditional MCDM techniques, and its expanding role in various application domains. By reviewing recent advancements, this paper highlights emerging trends and explores the growing integration of Grey MCDM with artificial intelligence, fuzzy logic, and optimization frameworks. The findings emphasize the innovative potential of Grey MCDM in addressing real-world decision challenges and suggest future directions for research and application.
