Abstract

In this paper, a fuzzy decision-making approach is presented for supplier performance evaluation in textile industry. The Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method is firstly employed to reduce the number of existing criteria that need to be taken into account when assessing the performance of suppliers. Then, using these criteria, a fuzzy data envelopment analysis (DEA) model is built in order to select the most efficient supplier. Linguistic variables are employed to represent the qualitative real-world data.
