Abstract:

Flexibility, insecurity and cheapness of labor is rapidly spreading in labor markets globally as they spread in Turkey. This is experienced in similar way in various geographies. Journalists are one the groups who experience this precarization in an intense way. In this doctorate thesis, experiences of journalists in Turkey are considered with reference to Guy Standing's works on precariat.
